The MDT TIMBR CORE Rifle Stock brings traditional wood-stock styling together with the precision and consistency of a modern chassis system.

Crafted around an aluminum micro-chassis with V-block bedding, the TIMBR CORE provides a rigid and repeatable action interface without requiring traditional glass bedding. Simply install your compatible Remington 700-pattern action, torque it into place, and build the rifle around the classic feel of wood with modern precision underneath.

Traditional Rifle Stock, Modern Foundation

The TIMBR CORE maintains the familiar profile, warmth, and handling of a traditional hunting stock while incorporating features normally associated with modern precision rifle systems.

The internal aluminum micro-chassis provides consistent action support, while MDT’s updated stock geometry includes a more vertical grip angle and adjustable length of pull for a more natural shooting position.

Sendero Barrel Channel

The TIMBR CORE uses a Proof Sendero barrel inlet, giving it significantly more barrel clearance than a typical factory hunting stock.

The channel will accommodate barrels up to a Heavy Palma contour, making it compatible with:

• All Preferred Rifles sporter contours
• Preferred Heavy Palma and 900 Varmint Carbon Fiber Barrels
• Light Palma
• Medium Palma
• Heavy Palma
• All Preferred Rifles taperless contours
• Any Sendero barrel

That gives you plenty of flexibility when configuring a custom build, whether you want to keep the rifle light with a sporter contour or step up to a heavier precision barrel without having to open the stock inlet.

Aluminum Micro-Chassis & V-Block Bedding

Inside the wood exterior is a rigid aluminum bedding structure that securely supports the action.

The V-block design eliminates the need for traditional bedding work and provides a repeatable interface between the action and stock, making the TIMBR CORE especially attractive for custom barreled actions and precision hunting rifles.

Adjustable Fit

The TIMBR CORE includes a spacer-adjustable length of pull, allowing the stock to fit the shooter more closely.

Combined with the updated grip geometry, soft recoil pad, sling studs, and traditional stock profile, it retains the familiar handling of a hunting rifle while adding useful modern adjustability.

Remington 700 Pattern Compatibility

Our TIMBR CORE stocks are configured for Remington 700 short actions and compatible Remington 700-pattern short-action receivers.

With the appropriate MDT bottom metal, the stock can also be configured around AICS-pattern detachable magazines, giving custom rifle builders another modern feature without sacrificing the traditional appearance of the stock.
