MDT LSS Gen3 Hunter Chassis Kit

The Preferred Rifles MDT LSS Gen3 Hunter Chassis Kit is a complete, preconfigured chassis package built for hunting and lightweight precision rifle builds. Each kit combines the MDT LSS Gen3 chassis base, SRS-XF folding stock, and carbon fiber Hunting Forend into a compatibility-verified setup that is ready to assemble and accept your barreled action.

The result is a lightweight, rigid, and highly modular hunting chassis that is easy to carry in the field while still giving you the adjustability and accessory compatibility of a modern precision rifle platform.

Built for Hunting & Field Use

The Hunter Kit is designed for shooters who want chassis-level performance without building an unnecessarily heavy rifle.

MDT’s carbon fiber Hunting Forend weighs just 5.9 ounces and provides a rigid, enclosed platform with M-LOK mounting along the sides, bottom, and top. Its enclosed design also helps keep barrel heat and mirage out of the shooter’s line of sight during longer strings of fire.

It’s an excellent foundation for:

Carbon Fiber Hunting Forend

The LSS Gen3 Hunting Forend keeps weight concentrated where it matters while still providing plenty of room for bipods, sling mounts, tripod accessories, and other M-LOK components.

The carbon fiber construction keeps the rifle light without sacrificing the rigidity needed for hard field use. MDT also designed the forend so it can be removed or changed without removing the barreled action, making the LSS Gen3 easy to reconfigure later.

The forend accommodates typical hunting and precision barrel contours, including barrels with a 1.25″ shank that taper toward the muzzle. Straight 1.25″ diameter barrels are not compatible.

SRS-XF Folding Stock

Every Hunter Kit uses the MDT SRS-XF folding stock, giving the rifle excellent adjustability while substantially reducing overall length for transportation and storage.

The SRS-XF folds over the bolt-handle side of the rifle and provides adjustable length of pull and cheek position, allowing the rifle to be fitted to the shooter rather than forcing the shooter to adapt to a fixed stock.

For a hunting rifle that may spend time in a pack, truck, UTV, or compact rifle case, the folding stock is a particularly useful addition.

Complete, Compatibility-Verified Kit

The LSS Gen3 is extremely modular, but that can make selecting individual components more complicated than it needs to be.

Remington 700 Action Options

The LSS Gen3 Hunter Kit is offered for select Remington 700 and Remington 700-pattern actions, including:

• Remington 700 Short Action — Right Hand
• Remington 700 Short Action — Left Hand
• Remington 700 Long Action CIP — Right Hand
• Black or FDE chassis components

The carbon fiber Hunting Forend is supplied in its natural black carbon-fiber finish.

Lightweight Today, Modular Tomorrow

The Hunter configuration is purpose-built for the field, but it still retains one of the biggest advantages of the MDT LSS Gen3 platform: modularity.

Stocks and forends can be changed as the rifle’s role changes, and the chassis accepts a wide range of MDT and M-LOK accessories. A hunting rifle can stay simple and lightweight, or you can add bipods, rails, sling hardware, tripod interfaces, and other accessories as your setup evolves. MDT specifically designed the LSS Gen3 around interchangeable forends and buttstock configurations that can be changed without disturbing the barreled action.

Ready for Your Barreled Action

Once assembled, the Hunter chassis is ready for a compatible Remington 700-pattern barreled action.

Pair it with a Preferred Rifles steel or carbon fiber barrel, Cinder or Bedrock action, or complete barreled action to build a hunting rifle around the cartridge, barrel length, contour, and overall weight you want.
