Preferred Rifles Bedrock Pro Comp Series
The Bedrock Pro Comp Series Barreled Action was built around a simple idea: different precision rifle competitions demand different things from a rifle.
NRL and NRL Hunter shooters need to make the most of a limited weight budget. PRS and long-range shooters can often use additional rifle mass to their advantage.
The Bedrock Comp Series gives you a purpose-built option for either.
Every Comp Series starts with our fully integral Preferred Rifles Bedrock action and a 26" competition barrel. Choose our lightweight and extremely rigid Carbon Comp contour for NRL-style competition, or a traditional stainless steel M24 contour for PRS and heavy long-range builds.
BEDROCK PRO COMP - DESIGN AND FEATURES
The Bedrock Precision Rifle Action
At the heart of every Comp Series is our competition-focused Bedrock action.
The Bedrock features an integral recoil lug and integral 20 MOA Picatinny rail, creating an exceptionally rigid platform without separate components between the receiver, recoil lug, and optic mounting surface.
The action weighs approximately 26 ounces in short action and 29 ounces in long action, providing a substantial foundation for a dedicated precision rifle.
An 83-degree bolt lift provides an excellent balance between easy bolt operation and scope clearance. The DLC-coated bolt provides smooth cycling and excellent wear resistance, while a Mini M16 extractor and plunger-style ejector provide dependable extraction and ejection.
The Bedrock also maintains a true Remington 700 footprint, including the Remington 700-style port and tang, and accepts Remington 700-pattern triggers. That gives you access to the massive selection of stocks, chassis systems, triggers, bottom metal, and accessories already available for the Remington 700 platform.
Carbon Comp — Built for NRL Competition
Our 26" Carbon Comp barrel was developed specifically for competition rifles where weight matters but barrel performance can't be compromised.
Instead of chasing weight savings by simply making the barrel smaller, we took the opposite approach.
The Carbon Comp maintains a substantial profile all the way to a 1.000" muzzle diameter and is designed to fit stocks and chassis with an M24 barrel channel, making it compatible with many popular precision rifle platforms without requiring an oversized custom barrel inlet.
Carbon fiber construction allows us to maintain that large, extremely rigid profile while controlling overall barrel weight.
The result is a competition barrel built around three priorities: low weight, extreme rigidity, and consistent performance.
Stainless M24 — Built When Weight Works for You
Not every competition rifle needs to be light.
For PRS, long-range target shooting, and heavy precision rifle builds, additional barrel mass can be an advantage. For those rifles, we offer the Bedrock Comp Series with a traditional 26" stainless steel M24 contour.
The heavy steel profile provides substantial mass, rigidity, and heat capacity while helping create the stable feel shooters expect from a dedicated PRS or long-range rifle.
If you're not fighting a restrictive rifle weight limit, the stainless M24 lets you put useful weight directly into the barreled action.
