Cinder Actions
CINDER ACTION DESIGN AND FEATURES
Cinder Lightweight Precision Rifle Action
The Cinder was designed to bridge the gap between traditional steel actions and lightweight titanium actions. By intelligently removing material where it isn't needed while maintaining strength where it matters, the Cinder delivers the smooth feel, durability, and consistency of a premium stainless steel action at a weight that belongs in the backcountry.
Whether you're building an ultralight hunting rifle or a do-it-all precision rifle, the Cinder provides the confidence of steel without carrying unnecessary ounces.
Lightweight by Design
Every ounce on the Cinder has a purpose. Strategic lightening cuts reduce weight while preserving the rigidity and durability expected from a premium custom rifle action. The result is a lightweight Remington 700 footprint action that tips the scales at just 22 ounces in short action and 25 ounces in long action.
Unlike many lightweight actions, the Cinder retains an integral recoil lug, providing a stronger, more consistent interface between the receiver and stock while eliminating the possibility of recoil lug movement during assembly.
The stainless steel receiver is paired with a DLC-coated bolt for exceptional corrosion resistance, reduced friction, and years of dependable service in harsh hunting environments.
Built to Perform
A lightweight action is only valuable if it's reliable.
The Cinder features an 83-degree bolt throw that provides excellent scope clearance while keeping bolt lift smooth and efficient. Precision broached bolt raceways produce exceptionally smooth cycling with minimal friction, while spiral bolt flutes reduce bearing surface and help clear dirt, moisture, and debris encountered in the field.
A proven mini M16-style extractor provides positive case control, while the plunger ejector delivers reliable ejection across a wide range of cartridges and conditions. The threaded bolt handle and knob allow future customization, and trigger-specific cocking pieces ensure proper timing with major trigger manufacturers for crisp, consistent performance.
Built Around the Remington 700
The Cinder utilizes a true Remington 700 footprint, making it compatible with one of the largest aftermarket ecosystems available. It fits most Remington 700 stocks, chassis systems, triggers, and bottom metals without proprietary components.
Magazine compatibility includes standard AICS-pattern magazines as well as Wyatt's Extended Boxes, giving builders flexibility whether they're running factory-length cartridges or longer handloads.
