BEDROCK ACTION PHILOSOPHY AND FEATURES
Bedrock Precision Rifle Action
The Bedrock was designed around a simple goal: to build a precision rifle action that prioritizes strength, reliability, and compatibility over unnecessary complexity. Every feature serves a purpose, from the one-piece receiver construction to the bolt geometry and Remington 700 footprint. Whether you're building a competition rifle, hunting rifle, or long-range precision rifle, the Bedrock provides a solid foundation that will perform every time.
Fully Integral Construction
The Bedrock receiver, recoil lug, and 20 MOA Picatinny rail are machined from a single piece of stainless steel. By eliminating separate recoil lugs and screw-on rails, the action gains rigidity while removing potential points of movement. The result is a strong, consistent platform that maintains alignment between the action, barrel, and optic.
The integral full-length 20 MOA Picatinny rail provides maximum scope mounting flexibility while giving shooters additional elevation for long-range applications. Combined with the integral recoil lug, the Bedrock is built to handle everything from lightweight hunting rifles to heavy magnums and competition builds.
Engineered to Run
The Bedrock's 83-degree bolt throw strikes the balance between scope clearance and smooth operation, providing plenty of room around modern optics while keeping bolt lift short and efficient. EDM-cut bolt raceways ensure consistent bolt travel with exceptionally smooth cycling from open to close.
The bolt utilizes a proven mini M16-style extractor and plunger ejector for positive extraction and reliable ejection under a wide range of conditions. Spiral bolt flutes reduce bearing surface, help clear debris, and contribute to the smooth cycling characteristics of the action.
Threaded bolt handles and knobs allow for future customization. Trigger-specific cocking pieces are available for major trigger manufacturers to ensure proper cocking piece timing and consistent trigger performance.
For all-weather performance, the stainless steel receiver is paired with a DLC-coated bolt, providing excellent corrosion resistance and a durable, low-friction finish that continues to perform in harsh environments.
Built Around the Remington 700 Footprint
The Bedrock uses a true Remington 700 tang and ejection port, making it compatible with one of the largest aftermarket ecosystems in the industry. Builders can choose from countless Remington 700 stocks, chassis systems, triggers, bottom metals, and accessories without proprietary limitations.
Magazine compatibility includes standard AICS-pattern magazines as well as Wyatt's Extended Boxes, giving shooters flexibility for both short and extended cartridge overall lengths.
When you combine integral construction, proven reliability, and true Remington 700 compatibility, the Bedrock delivers exactly what a custom rifle action should be: rigid, dependable, and ready to become the foundation of your next precision rifle.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: What is the Preferred Rifles Bedrock action?
A: The Bedrock is our fully integral precision rifle action, designed for competition, long-range hunting, and hard-use rifle builds. The recoil lug and 20 MOA Picatinny rail are machined integral to the receiver for maximum rigidity and consistency.
Q: Is the Bedrock compatible with Remington 700 stocks and chassis?
A: Yes. The Bedrock uses a true Remington 700 footprint, including the port and tang geometry, providing broad compatibility with Remington 700-pattern stocks, chassis, and triggers desinged for Remington 700 Clones.
Q: What is the bolt throw on the Bedrock?
A: The Bedrock features an 83° bolt lift, providing additional scope clearance compared with a traditional 90° action while maintaining smooth, easy bolt operation.
Q: Is the Bedrock compatible with prefit barrels?
A: Yes. Bedrock actions are manufactured to tight, repeatable tolerances for true prefit barrel compatibility. This creates a plug-and-play barrel system that allows properly spec'd Preferred Rifles prefit barrels to be installed without traditional gunsmith fitting.
