This in-stock prefit program was developed to deliver the same precision and flexibility as our custom Tikka barrels, but with much faster turnaround times. We identified the most commonly requested calibers and twist rates from our custom builds and pre-machined those barrels, leaving them ready for final chambering and finish work.
By stocking barrels that are approximately 80% complete, we can offer more customization options — including chamber selection, fluting, and Cerakote — than typical inventory items, while avoiding the long lead times associated with full custom production.

A: Yes. These barrels are made from the same Preferred Barrel Blanks and finished using the same tooling, processes, and quality standards as our full custom barrels — the only difference is that some machining steps are completed in advance to reduce lead time.

A: Because Tikka actions are manufactured to exceptionally tight tolerances, we are able to machine our Tikka prefits to precise headspace specifications. Each chamber is cut and verified to ensure consistent, repeatable headspace and a proper fit on Tikka T3 and T3x actions.
