Zermatt’s Bighorn Origin Action

ORIGIN – features the same footprint as a Remington Model 700 action to allow for easy installation into most stocks and chassis as well as utilizing the same trigger configuration as a Remington Model 700. ORIGIN is threaded to the same spec as standard Savage small-shank threads allowing for Savage pre-fit barrels as well as the option of the classic fixed-shoulder barrel.

  • Teardrop bolt knob, with a swept bolt handle
  • Floating and interchangeable bolt head; Controlled round feed bolt design
  • Black nitrided receiver and bolt body – with the bolt head DLC coated for increased durability
  • Fluted bolt body
  • Fully enclosed mechanical ejector
  • BDL bottom cut – compatible with AICS magazines, as well as hinged floor plate designs – (Max coal of 2.980″ on short actions and 3.850″ on long actions)
  • Cut with a trim tang design, similar to Remington 700 actions
  • Pinned 20 MOA rail
  • Pinned Trigger setup – this allows for greater stock compatibility; no need to open up your stock to fit for the trigger hanger
